​I’m combining my love for tea, travel and calm moments, while also sharing moments of beauty in everyday moments. A self-care brand focused on sharing products to help you slow down.  I enjoy helping creators and small business owners find ways to create time for themselves outside of the busy-ness of their day-to-day lives. 

 

​My love for tea started when I was working in central London during college at an architect firm. Part of my job was to make cups of tea all day to keep the firm running. I found myself drinking tea, too! 

​

I have been a natural traveler since birth. Living in new cities has always brought me joy and discovering the history and culture behind each city fascinates me. It’s a strong part of who I am today. Having lived in the south of Spain as a teenager and in Sevilla, Spain during my adult life for four years, Spain is a country that I will always return to and feel at home. 

 

I studied fashion in NYC after working in the corporate environment, and that took me from studio to studio across New York City. I learned how to design collections, work with textiles in a production room, work on runway shows for NY fashion week, pick last-minute fabric samples, and late-nights at a design studio sewing and hand embroidering beads on dresses for the runway. It was a fast-paced industry, but this is where I found my love for fabric and eventually started a kids clothing line where I sold my designs at markets in Seattle, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and London. This is also how I started learning about the ins and outs of how to start a small business. 

 

What I didn't learn, not for a long time, was how to slow down and embrace calm moments. This is something that I fully embrace now in my daily life.

Slow Sparkles started when I was living in Sevilla, Spain, and although life in Spain is known to be "slower", it still felt busy being in the city, juggling work and life duties.

I felt at peace when drinking a cup of tea. It's really about the ten minutes a day I used to skip, simple moments for self-care,  where nothing is due and making time to focus on things that bring you joy.
